The Brown-faced Flycatcher is a protected species in the wild. It mainly inhabits broad-leaved forests and bamboo forests below 2,500 meters above sea level. It mostly moves alone or in pairs during the breeding season, and also in groups in other seasons. Frequently fly between branches, mostly flying in the air to hunt for food.
