Purple and blue macaws are allowed to be raised privately in China. The first thing we need to choose before breeding is the cage. Parrot cages include round dome cages, flat top round cages, vaulted square cages, etc. You can choose according to your preference. The size of the cage is generally about 40cm in diameter and height. Place a jumping stick in the cage and prepare two small bowls, one for food and the other for water. Place a board at the bottom of the cage to hold excrement and a cage cover outside.
Most species of parrots have a certain degree of cold resistance. Heating near the birdcage during the season will cause the parrot to get cold when the temperature difference changes between the cage and the activity area. As long as the parrot does not starve, is not blown by the cold wind, and maintains a room temperature above 5°C in winter, the parrot can survive the winter comfortably.
