The wild mountain rat is a small animal, also known as the mountain rat. Mountain rats look just like a regular rat, with small ears and dark eyes. But mountain rats have shorter tails than mice.
Usually, only one-third of the body is long. Mountain hamsters are mostly gray or brown, and the color of the fur on their bodies is also the same as that of ordinary hamsters. Rats are a little different. Although mountain hamsters are similar to house mice, some can grow up to a pound and have no problem living as long as 7 or 8 years.
