If you want to solve the problem of cats having poop stuck on their bodies, you need to first know the reasons for this situation, and then take targeted measures. First of all, if it is caused by too much cat litter in the cat litter box, you need to adjust the amount of cat litter. Generally, it is enough to spread about 3-5cm. Secondly, if it is caused by the cat’s perianal hair being relatively long, it is recommended that the owner properly trim the cat’s perianal hair. Finally, if it is caused by the cat’s feces being relatively soft or watery, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for examination in time and receive timely treatment after diagnosis.

1. Adjust the amount of cat litter

After defecating, cats will dig the cat litter and bury the feces, but the more cat litter is not the better. If there is too much cat litter, the height of the feces will be affected. It will be higher, so it will stick to the cat's body easily. Therefore, the owner can check the cat litter box and adjust the thickness of the cat litter to about 5 cm to prevent the cat from getting feces again. If it is a short-legged cat, the cat litter should be three to four centimeters thick.

2. Trim the cat’s hair

If the cat’s hair is too long, it will be easy for feces to get on the body, especially on the buttocks and legs of long-haired cats. Two parts. Therefore, the owner can use scissors to cut the cat's hair in these two parts appropriately. If the cat does not cooperate, you can take it directly to the pet shop for trimming.

3. Improve the cat’s diet

If the cat’s feces is soft and unformed due to improper diet, so it sticks to the body, then the owner must adjust the cat’s diet in time. , you can replace the cat with low-oil and low-salt cat food, and give the cat some pet-specific probiotics to regulate gastrointestinal function. If there is still no improvement, you need to take the cat to the pet hospital for examination to determine the specific cause of the soft stool, and then provide symptomatic treatment.
