If you want to know whether a cat is deaf, you can judge it by its daily behavior. At home, you can speak directly to the cat’s ear or make noise. If the cat shows signs of flying ears or running away quickly, it means that the cat is not deaf, but If the cat doesn't respond at all, it is most likely deaf. In addition, if it is a white cat with blue eyes, you can tell whether it is deaf from their unique appearance. Usually, the ear on the same side as the blue eyes may be deaf. Of course, if you cannot make a good judgment, you can take the cat directly to the pet hospital and receive treatment according to the condition.

1. Judge by the daily behavior of cats

Normal cats have very sensitive hearing. Once they hear any abnormal movement around them, they will vigilantly turn their ears in the direction of the sound source to identify the location of the sound source. and nature. Therefore, the owner can speak directly to the cat's ear or make noise when it is resting quietly, and then observe the cat's performance. If the cat does not respond in any way, it can basically be determined that the cat is deaf.

2. Judge by the cat’s appearance

White cats with blue eyes are particularly prone to congenital deafness. Therefore, if it is a white cat with blue eyes, it is likely that the cat is deaf. And among white cats with heterochromatic eyes, if one side has blue eyes, there is a chance that the ear on the same side is deaf. But if the white cat's eyes are yellow or green, the chance of deafness will be relatively small.
