Overview
Eyelid ectropion refers to the turning of part or all of the eyelid margin outwards, the exposure of the eyelid conjunctiva and the formation of rabbit eyes. Multiple lesions occurred on the lower eyelid. The eyelid margin leaves the eyeball surface and turns outwards in varying degrees; the conjunctiva becomes hyperemia, flushing, swelling, and tearing due to exposure, and exudate accumulates within the conjunctiva.

Causes of Ectropion Eyelid Dog

The etiology of chronic nephritis is the same as that of acute nephritis, but the pathogenic stimulation is mild and lasts longer. In addition, there are also acute nephritis is not completely controlled and turned to chronic nephritis.

Developmental ectropion

The eyelid margin leaves the eyeball surface and turns outwards in varying degrees; the conjunctiva becomes hyperemic, flushed, swollen, and watery due to exposure, and exudate accumulates within the conjunctiva. The long course of the conjunctiva becomes rough and hypertrophic, but also because the eyelid is not closed and the occurrence of pigmented conjunctivitis, keratitis. The cornea is dry and rough, affecting vision.

Treatment method of Ectropion Eyelid Dog

Surgical treatment is mainly aimed at those who already have keratitis or conjunctivitis and do not respond to medical treatment. The lower eyelid skin was made a "V" shaped incision and sutured in a "Y" shape, so that the lower eyelid tissue was pushed up to correct the ectropion.

After operation, mycin eye drops were used to reduce inflammation, more than 20 times a day, and topical eye drops were used.

Erythromycin eye ointment should be used for anti-inflammation and protection of cornea 2-3 times a day.

Beifushu was used to repair the damaged cornea and nourize the cornea, 1 to 2 drops each time, 4 to 6 times a day, and eye drops were applied.
