The world's largest iron ore is the Mutong Iron Mine at the junction of Brazil and Bolivia. It is 21 kilometers south of Port Suarez, Bolivia, covering an area of 83 square kilometers. 63-66% of it contains 80 billion tons of iron ore, of which Bolivia’s 57 billion, less than 63% of which have not been evaluated, is even greater in iron-bearing quartzite. Bolivia has not even seriously evaluated its own iron-rich ore.
The uncalculated iron content of iron-bearing quartzite is 45%. The mine is also on the surface and can be mined in the open, because , located in a tropical rain forest, with inconvenient transportation and basically no mining.
