The red-banded bird is named after the male bird drags two dazzling long ribbon-like tails behind its tail. They are very dexterous when shuttling through the forest and are not bothered by the gorgeous long tails at all. Because it looks like the legendary phoenix, it is known as a flower among the bird tribe, and is also called a flower.
The red-shou-banded bird's nest is built between tree branches, using bark and grass leaves as nest materials, and the nest shape is cup-shaped. Almost all of the food is insects, and Lepidoptera is the most common, such as hawkmoths, pine caterpillars and their larvae and eggs. They are very good at destroying pests in the forest.
