Border collies are relatively loyal to their owners. Because they have relatively high IQs, they will know very well whether their owners treat them well or not. If the owner often stays with it and treats it sincerely, it will become more and more tolerant of the owner. Even if it is sometimes beaten and scolded by the owner, the Border Collie will not fight back, but may lose a little temper and deliberately ignore the owner.
If the owner often beats and scolds the border collie, it will not cling to the owner stubbornly, and may even become hostile to the owner. They may deliberately avoid their owners or find ways to run away from home.
