The hamster with a black line on its gray back is a black-lined hamster. The coat color of black-lined hamsters changes with different habitats and subspecies. The back hair is generally brown, the base is mostly dark gray, the upper part is yellowish brown, and some have black tips. There is a distinct black line on the back that extends from between the ears to the base near the tail.
Black-lined hamsters mainly live in the wild and generally do not move into farmhouses. They are mostly active in cultivated fields and roadsides. In places such as deserted beaches, caves are mostly built on field ridges, ditch edges and ridge backs above the water. Black-lined hamsters are nocturnal animals. They like to come out at night and like to hide in dark places during the day. They don't like to see the light.
