It is normal to have 1,000 sunflower cockatoos. Sunflower cockatoos are climbing birds and there are 4 subspecies in total. The body feathers are non-iridescent, mainly white, and there is a yellow crest on the top of the head. When angry, the crest stands up in a fan shape, like a blooming sunflower. Among the subspecies, the Fitzroy River subspecies has blue eyes, and the other three species all have white eyes. Food includes seeds, shells, berries, nuts, fruits, sprouts, flowers, insects, etc.
The language ability is average. The beak is so powerful that it needs to be kept in a metal cage. Like many cockatoos, keeping them as pets requires a lot of time from their owners. There is a lot of feather powder and regular bathing is required. The screams are noisy. It is distributed in the wild in northern, eastern and southern Australia, Tasmania and some Indonesian islands.
