What harm does durian do to cats?

Durian has no obvious harm to cats, but some cats are sensitive to the smell of durian, so they may vomit, faint, etc. after smelling it. Secondly, if the cat consumes too much durian, it will also cause the cat to suffer from internal heat, constipation, and diarrhea. Therefore, if the cat reacts greatly to the taste of durian, do not feed it to avoid causing discomfort to the cat.

1. Vomiting

Cats’ sense of smell is very sensitive, and durian has a very pungent smell, so some cats will not be able to tolerate the smell like humans, and sometimes they will even vomit. Fainting and other conditions, but usually can return to normal within a short period of time.

2. Getting internal heat

Durian has high nutritional value, but eating too much can easily cause cats to get internal heat. In severe cases, it may even cause symptoms such as constipation. Moreover, the core of durian also contains cyanide, which may cause poisoning to cats if they accidentally eat it.

3. Diarrhea

The gastrointestinal function of some cats is relatively fragile, especially the gastrointestinal development of young cats is not perfect. If they eat durian too early or eat too much at one time, Durian will cause them to have diarrhea.
