2. The hair on the back hangs down to the sides along the midline of the back. Use a comb or scissors to trim 1 cm around the base of the tail. The tail hair should be separated left and right, and a small amount of oil can be applied to the base of the tail.

3. The sides of the feet should be trimmed into a round shape with scissors along the toes, and the hair growing between the toes should be carefully trimmed.

How to remove knots

For Maltese dogs with severe tangles, you should use a comb or wire brush to comb along the direction of hair growth, starting from the tip of the hair, and then combing to the root of the hair. Do it little by little, and do not comb or pull hard to avoid causing pain or pulling out the hair. If the felt is severe, you can use scissors to cut the felt piece in the direction of the hair root, and then comb it. If it still cannot be combed, you can only cut off the felt part.

Detangling spray: A detangling spray rich in lanolin that makes combing easier.

Don’t take too long: If the Maltese dog is knotted in more than one place, or the knotting is too serious, the time when sorting it out should not be too long. For short-haired dogs such as Doberman Pinscher, wiping the coat with a bath towel immediately after bathing will make the coat look brighter.
