Shiting clinically refers to defecation. If a cat does not defecate for two days but urinates, it may be caused by insufficient food intake, too greasy feeding, constipation, hair ball disease, etc. First of all, if it is caused by insufficient food intake and too greasy feeding, then not having a bowel movement is normal and generally there is no need to worry too much. If there is an abnormal lack of defecation and is accompanied by adverse reactions such as abdominal distension and nausea, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to a regular hospital for treatment in time to find out the cause and further treatment.

1. Insufficient food intake

If the food intake is too little, it will affect the normal excretion of food, resulting in no feces in the body, but more water in the body, resulting in no defecation and excessive urination. According to the situation, you need to adjust your eating habits and increase the amount of food you eat, but you should not eat too much at one time, otherwise it will easily affect digestion.

2. Feeding too greasy

If the food is too greasy, it will affect the speed of gastrointestinal motility, causing food to accumulate in the gastrointestinal tract, causing acid reflux and nausea. It may even affect normal defecation and cause abnormal defecation. You need to adjust your eating habits. You should not feed your cat too greasy food. Instead, you can feed your cat food containing vitamins or fiber.

3. Constipation

Long-term overeating may cause damage to the gastrointestinal tract, affect food excretion, and cause constipation. Generally, it will not affect the amount of urine. You need to follow your doctor’s advice and take medicine to promote digestion. Medication improves.

4. Hairball syndrome

If the cat itself suffers from hairball syndrome, which will cause intestinal blockage, affect the digestive system, and cause symptoms such as lack of appetite and difficulty in defecation, Cats can be fed cat grass or hair removal cream. In severe cases, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for treatment in time, otherwise it will easily affect the body's recovery.
