Black lumps on a cat's nose may just be food residue, or they may be scabs from wounds or infected with skin diseases such as cat ringworm. In this regard, the owner can gently wipe the black lumps. If it can be wiped off, it is an ordinary pollutant and can be cleaned. If it is a black scab formed during the healing process of the wound, it is not a big problem and you can just wait for the scab to fall off on its own. But if it cannot be wiped off, there are scabs or the scabs get bigger the more you rub it, then you should consider it to be cat moss. It is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for examination and diagnosis in time.

1. Food residue

If the food the cat usually eats is greasy and the grease is stained on the nose, and the owner does not clean it up in time, black scabs may form over time. In this regard, the owner can wipe the cat with a wet paper towel or a hot towel. If it can be wiped off, there will be no big problem. Then just pay attention to cleaning the cat.

2. Wound scabs

If there is a wound on the cat’s nose, black and red scabs will form in the later stages of wound recovery. The scabs in this case will generally fall off naturally, so it is recommended that the owner can use iodophor to disinfect and let the black scabs heal naturally. After healing, the scabs will fall off on their own.

3. Cat moss

If the black lumps on the cat’s nose cannot be wiped off and get bigger the more you rub them, and symptoms such as hair loss and red skin appear around the nose, then The cat is most likely infected with a skin disease such as ringworm. At this time, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for a skin examination in time, and then use symptomatic medication based on the examination results.
