Blood in cats' poop may be caused by constipation, feline distemper virus infection, parasite infection, gastroenteritis and other reasons. If a cat has blood in its stool, you should go to a regular pet hospital for examination in time. Standard and effective treatment can be carried out based on the examination results, which can effectively alleviate the symptoms and achieve the purpose of treatment.

1. Constipation

If you drink too little water at a time, your body may lack water, leading to symptoms such as long defecation time and difficulty in defecation. In severe cases, it may also be accompanied by blood in the stool. In daily life, cats can drink more warm water or eat fruits and vegetables containing water, such as pears, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc., which can speed up the body's metabolism and help relieve symptoms.

2. Infection with feline distemper virus

When a cat is infected with feline distemper, the feline distemper virus will invade the gastrointestinal tract, multiply in the gastrointestinal tract, and irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa. It will cause damage, bleeding and other symptoms to the gastrointestinal mucosa. There may also be blood in the cat's stool. If this happens, you should take the cat to a regular hospital for treatment in time and receive standardized treatment with the help of a doctor.

3. Parasite infection

If the cat often drinks cold water or eats cold food, such as iced watermelon, sashimi, etc., there may be a large amount of parasites in the cold water and food. Parasites, when ingested by cats, may irritate the gastrointestinal tract and cause inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, leading to bloody stools. It is recommended to take the cat to the hospital for treatment in time and deworm the cat with the help of a doctor, which can effectively relieve the symptoms.

4. Gastroenteritis

It is considered that the cat has eaten spoiled food. These foods contain a large number of bacteria. These bacteria will enter the gastrointestinal tract along with the food, causing gastrointestinal disease. A pathological inflammatory reaction occurs in the intestine. Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain occur. If not treated in time, you may suffer from poor mental health and bloody stools. It can be treated with intravenous antibiotics and antidiarrheal drugs under the guidance of a doctor, which can help relieve symptoms.
