The sound of a dog snoring like an asthmatic may be caused by foreign objects in the nose, strenuous exercise, respiratory infection, etc. First of all, when a dog inhales foreign matter, it will hinder breathing and make a huffing sound. Help the dog to clean up the foreign matter in the nasal cavity and it will get better. Secondly, dogs will also experience shortness of breath in a short period of time after strenuous exercise. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and will recover after the dog rests for a while. In addition, if the dog's respiratory system is infected with pathogens such as bacteria or viruses, the secretion of nasal fluid and sputum will increase, and snoring sounds will occur. It is recommended to seek medical treatment in time.

1. Foreign objects in the nose

If hair, flying insects, stones and other foreign objects accidentally enter the dog's nose, the nose will make a wheezing sound when breathing. In this regard, the owner can observe whether there is any visible foreign matter in the dog's nasal cavity under the light. If there is, you can try to use saline to flush the dog's nasal cavity to wash out the foreign matter.

2. Vigorous exercise

Dogs will also make wheezing sounds like asthma after strenuous exercise. This is normal, as long as the dog’s mental and appetite conditions do not appear. If there is a problem, the owner does not need to worry too much. He only needs to move the dog to a cool and ventilated place to rest and prepare some water for the dog.

3. Respiratory system infection

If the dog, in addition to making snoring sounds, is also accompanied by symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, cough, loss of mental appetite, fever, etc., then It may be caused by respiratory infection. Due to the increase in nasal secretions and sputum, symptoms such as difficulty breathing and wheezing may occur. It is recommended to go to a pet hospital for treatment immediately.
