There are three main reasons for patches of hair loss on kittens. The first is skin diseases. Common diseases include cat ringworm, pyoderma and scabies mite infection. The second type is massive hair loss caused by malnutrition. At this time, the cat's hair is not only easy to fall out, but also becomes dry and dull. The third type is seasonal hair moulting. This situation mostly occurs during the change of spring and autumn every year. In order to better adapt to the season, a large amount of hair loss occurs. This situation is a normal physiological condition.

1. Skin diseases

If the kitten not only has patches of hair loss on its body, but also has symptoms such as itching, scabs, and dandruff, it is considered to be caused by skin diseases. Common diseases include Feline ringworm, pyoderma, and scabies mite infestations. It is recommended that the owner send the cat to the pet hospital for skin scraping examination in time, and then use symptomatic drug treatment after confirming the type of infection. In addition, it should be noted that there are many fungi and bacteria in the environment where cats live normally, so the cat’s own resistance also needs to be enhanced during the treatment process.

2. Malnutrition

If a cat eats single-component food for a long time, resulting in malnutrition and a lack of certain elements, widespread hair loss will occur. At this time, the owner needs to promptly adjust the cat's diet structure, choose foods rich in nutrients, and use lecithin or fish oil for the cat to further supplement the fatty acids in the skin. At the same time, owners can comb their cats’ hair at home to reduce hair shedding.

3. Seasonal shedding

Because cats are animals that moult seasonally, they will also shed a lot of hair in the spring and autumn. This is a normal seasonal hair change. Owners do not need to worry too much. They can comb the cat's floating hair more often and feed the cat with hair removal cream to help the cat comb out excess aging hair and speed up the cat's hair change process. .
