Bleeding in cats may be caused by miscarriage, reproductive system infections, urinary system diseases, etc. First of all, if the cat is in the pregnancy stage and suddenly bleeds down there, it may be a miscarriage. Secondly, if the cat’s reproductive system is infected, such as pyometra, uterine tumors, etc., light red fluid will also flow out from underneath. Finally, cats suffering from urinary system diseases, such as bladder stones, cystitis and other diseases, can also cause urinary tract bleeding. These conditions are relatively serious, so it is recommended that owners seek medical treatment promptly when they notice bleeding from their cat’s lower body.

1. Miscarriage

If the cat is in the pregnancy stage but has not yet reached the due date, and there is bleeding down there, it may be caused by miscarriage. At this time, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for a prenatal check-up to check the status of the fetus in the cat's abdomen, and then consider whether miscarriage treatment or induction of labor can be performed.

2. Reproductive system infection

Infections in the reproductive system of cats will also discharge light red fluid, such as pyometra, uterine tumors, vaginal foreign bodies, vaginal lacerations, vaginal tumors, etc. etc. At the same time, cats may also experience symptoms such as listlessness, anorexia, vomiting, polydipsia and polyuria. If the owner finds that his cat has this condition, it is best to take the cat to the pet hospital for examination and treatment in time.

If the cat suffers from urinary system diseases, such as bladder stones, cystitis, urethral stones, etc., it may also cause blood to flow out of the urethra or It flows out with urine, and the cat may also experience symptoms such as frequent urination and oliguria.
