There are many causes of stomach twitching in puppies, including calcium deficiency, parasitic infection, digestive tract disease, epilepsy, encephalitis and canine distemper. It is recommended to take the puppy to the veterinarian for a check-up to find out the exact cause and treat it. At the same time, pay attention to the hygiene of the puppy’s living environment and increase nutritional intake to prevent diseases.

1. Calcium deficiency:

If the puppy is deficient in calcium, its stomach will also twitch. This condition is more common in large dogs, and timely calcium supplementation often helps.

2. Parasitic infection:

When a puppy is infected with parasites, it may cause stomach twitching due to parasites invading the intestines. It is recommended that puppies be dewormed regularly to maintain a healthy living environment.

3. Digestive tract diseases:

Such as pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, renal failure, etc. can cause puppies to vomit, accelerate intestinal peristalsis, and cause abdominal muscles to twitch.

4. Epilepsy:

When a puppy suffers from epilepsy, he will have uncontrollable convulsions. Epilepsy can only be controlled but not cured and requires long-term management.

5. Encephalitis:

When puppies suffer from encephalitis, they may also have neurological symptoms, such as constant convulsions. It is also accompanied by symptoms such as circling movements, unconsciousness, drooling, and foaming at the mouth. This condition also requires immediate medical attention.

6. Canine distemper:

This is a serious disease that can cause neurological symptoms in puppies, including stomach twitches. If a puppy is infected with canine distemper, it needs immediate medical attention and appropriate treatment.

If the cause of the puppy’s stomach twitching is not found out, it is not recommended to use medicine without permission. It is recommended to take the puppy to the veterinarian for a check-up as soon as possible so that the exact cause can be found and treated accordingly. It is also necessary to pay attention to the hygiene of the puppy's living environment on a daily basis, appropriately increase the puppy's nutritional intake, and prevent the puppy from contracting other types of diseases.
