A puppy's sudden limp on its front legs may be caused by trauma, calcium deficiency, arthritis or osteoarthritis, rheumatism and other reasons. In order to prevent the puppy from limping, owners should ensure that the puppy has a balanced diet, provide adequate nutrition, and avoid a single diet for a long time. At the same time, the amount of exercise for the puppy should be reasonably arranged to avoid overexertion and excessive wear and tear on the joints.

1. Trauma:

If the puppy's left front leg is hit or squeezed, it may cause local bone and soft tissue damage, causing swelling, pain and other symptoms, leading to a limp when walking. . In this case, it is recommended to let the puppy rest, avoid strenuous exercise, and use blood-activating and analgesic drugs under the guidance of a doctor.

2. Calcium deficiency:

Long-term diet or insufficient calcium intake may cause calcium deficiency in puppies, which may lead to abnormal bone development and a limp. In order to improve this situation, owners should feed their puppies some calcium-rich foods, such as shrimp skin, bone soup, etc., and appropriately add some calcium supplements specifically for pets.

3. Arthritis or osteoarthritis:

These chronic diseases may cause joint pain and swelling, affecting the puppy's normal walking. If you suspect that your puppy is suffering from these diseases, you should seek medical treatment promptly and follow the doctor's recommendations for treatment, such as taking antibiotics and painkillers.

4. Rheumatism:

When a puppy suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, the soft tissues around the joints will swell, and the joints will become swollen and hot, accompanied by obvious pain. This pain can cause your puppy to have difficulty walking or even limp. For such diseases, treatment needs to be carried out according to the guidance of a doctor.

The owner should carefully observe and find out the possible causes in daily life, and then take corresponding measures to deal with it. If the cause cannot be determined or the symptoms continue to worsen, you should seek medical treatment promptly to avoid delaying treatment.
