A dog's foaming may be caused by coughing, or it may be caused by a foreign object stuck in the throat. In addition, if it is a puppy, the possibility of infectious diseases must also be considered. These situations are very dangerous for dogs, so if the owner cannot judge by himself, it is recommended to take the dog to the pet hospital for examination in time, and then treat the dog according to the examination results to avoid delaying the condition.

1. Cough

If the dog makes a clicking sound before frothing, it may be because the dog has symptoms of coughing and is stimulated by a severe cough. The dog's throat, causing the dog to vomit. Therefore, at this time, the owner can take the dog to the pet hospital to focus on checking for respiratory diseases.

2. Stuck by foreign objects

If the dog accidentally swallows bones, needles, hair and other foreign objects, the foreign objects stuck in the throat will cause the dog to vomit. Foaming occurs, and the dog’s appetite will also decrease. In this regard, the owner can gently open the dog's mouth to check. If it is a smooth foreign object, the foreign object can be carefully removed with chopsticks or tweezers. If it is a sharp foreign object, it is recommended that the owner take the dog with him. Go to the pet hospital for treatment to avoid serious damage to the dog's throat caused by self-treatment.

3. Infectious diseases

If the dog has not been vaccinated, foaming one after another may be infectious diseases such as canine distemper or parvovirus. At this time, the owner should pay attention, because the mortality rate of infectious diseases is very high, so once the puppy is found to have symptoms such as depression, reduced appetite, runny nose, sneezing, diarrhea, etc., it is necessary to go to the pet hospital to check for infectious diseases in time.
