To determine whether a puppy has rabies virus, it mainly depends on whether it has symptoms such as excessive excitement, attacks on people and other animals, fear of light and water, drooling, unconsciousness, convulsions and other symptoms. If so, it can basically be determined that the puppy has rabies, and the owner needs to isolate it immediately, take protective measures to avoid being bitten, and consult the relevant local departments for treatment.

1. Overly excited and loves to attack people

If you find that your normally docile dog suddenly becomes irritable, extremely excited, and even attacks people and other animals for no reason, Then it is very likely that you are infected with rabies virus. At this time, the owner must isolate the dog to avoid being bitten.

2. Photophobia and water

Dogs with rabies are very afraid of light and water. They will tremble when they hear the sound of running water, so rabies is also called rabies. As a "hydrophobia", he often hides in the dark and does not come out. Therefore, when a dog suddenly becomes afraid of light and water, it is likely to be a symptom of rabies and needs to be isolated as soon as possible!

3. Drooling

A dog with rabies cannot swallow saliva, which causes its saliva to accumulate in the mouth. Therefore, if you find that your dog is suddenly drooling frequently and looking sluggish, the owner should be careful, as it is very likely that he is infected with rabies.

4. Unconsciousness

If dogs contract rabies, their daily routine will also change. Therefore, owners can pay attention to observation. If the dog has a loss of appetite or waste, drinks water, walks erratically or stiffly, turns in circles, walks out of the house without recognizing home, wanders aimlessly, and is unconscious, it may be Rabies.

5. Convulsions

When the rabies virus invades the dog’s nervous system, the dog will have stiff limbs, twitching all over the body, and white foam will flow out. . Therefore, if you find that your dog cannot control its body and has stiff limbs, twitching, etc., it is probably suffering from rabies and will die quickly.

Note: Regularly injecting rabies vaccines into dogs is the most effective way to prevent rabies, so owners must usually vaccinate their puppies against rabies, usually in small children. Dogs over three months old can be picked upGet the first shot, and then take the vaccine once every eleven months every year. It is also recommended to stay away from strange animals as much as possible when going out.
