White discharge from your dog's vagina may be caused by estrus, excessive cleaning, infection or disease. If the symptoms of white discharge from the dog’s vagina persist or worsen, the owner should take the dog to the pet hospital for examination as soon as possible. At the same time, owners should pay attention to keeping the dog's body and living environment clean and hygienic, which will contribute to the dog's health. Regular physical examinations for dogs are also an important measure to prevent vaginal problems.

1. Estrus:

When unneutered dogs are in estrus, their vagina will secrete white or yellow mucus. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and is usually nothing to worry about.

2. Excessive cleaning:

Excessive cleaning or improper cleaning may also destroy the balance of flora inside the dog's vagina, leading to the production of secretions. Therefore, owners should avoid using harsh cleaning products on their dogs and follow proper cleaning methods.

3. Infection or disease:

If the dog’s secretions are yellow, green or other abnormal colors, or accompanied by a peculiar smell, it may be infected with bacteria, fungi or Other microorganisms. Common infections include cervicitis, vaginitis, etc. These diseases often require treatment and management by a veterinarian.

When you find white discharge from your dog’s vagina, you should first observe the nature and color of the discharge and whether it is accompanied by abnormal symptoms such as odor. If the secretion appears abnormal or the dog shows other symptoms of discomfort, it is recommended to take the dog to the pet hospital for examination in time to determine the specific cause and carry out targeted treatment. At the same time, it is also very important to keep your dog's vagina clean and hygienic and avoid over-cleaning or using harsh cleaning products.
