The Asian giant turtle sheds its skin. It is normal for a turtle to shed its skin. The turtle absorbs nutrients and grows up. It will start to shed its skin every 0.15mm in length. If it does not shed its skin, it means that its growth is not good. And if it doesn't shed its skin, it will hinder its body growth, so molting is just a metabolic phenomenon.

Molting refers to the process in which the old epidermis falls off and new skin grows and appears. It usually represents The growth of the turtle. Visible to the naked eye, it looks like white (or light cream yellow) translucent gauze, some covering the skin, some floating in the water, and some rolled into balls and hanging on the new skin. You can gently wipe off the old skin with a cotton swab to reveal the new skin or pick it up with tweezers and tear it off easily.
