Dandruff on cats can be caused by dry skin, lack of regular bathing, parasitic infection, systemic lupus erythematosus, leukemia, etc. First of all, if it is caused by dry skin and not bathing regularly, it can be improved by drinking more water and bathing regularly without medication. Secondly, if the body is accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, such as itchy skin, pale complexion, body edema, etc., it needs to be treated with drugs and surgery. If the condition continues to worsen, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to a regular pet hospital for treatment to avoid delaying treatment time and affecting the recovery of the disease.

1. Dry skin

If the cat does not like to drink water, it will cause the body to lack a lot of water, causing the skin to become dry and then fall off, like dandruff. Need to drink more warm water to improve.

2. Failure to bathe regularly

3. Parasitic infection

If the skin is infected with fleas and mites, it will cause allergic reactions in the skin, causing symptoms such as redness, itching, and swelling of the skin, and may cause large lumps The cortex is flaking, like dandruff. You need to use anti-allergic ointments as directed by your doctor.

4. Systemic lupus erythematosus

Usually caused by autoimmune abnormalities, it can invade various organs of the body, causing skin damage and flakes. You need to take corticosteroids as directed by your doctor.

5. Leukemia

It is a malignant disease of the hematopoietic system. It will cause symptoms such as paleness, listlessness, and general weakness. It will also lead to a decrease in the body's metabolic capacity and cause peeling. Treatment requires hematopoietic stem cell transplantation as directed by your doctor.

When bathing cats in daily life, you need to use pet-specific toiletries. Do not use human toiletries to avoid irritating local skin and aggravating the condition.
